Q: I registered
my details with CardXray but I have not received my e-mail with
the registration details
The most common causes for this are either you mistyped your
e-mail address in the registration process or our return e-mail
has been diverted into you Junk E-Mail account. Please check
your junk e-mail, if it is not there then please e-mail enquiries@card-xray.com
where one of our advisors will be happy to help you.
Q: I have
downloaded a new Poker site which Card-Xray is compatible
with, but CardXray is not automatically finding it
Card-Xray reads the hand history logs which are stored on
your computers hard drive and interprets the information from
these. They have usually been default set to on, but if Card-Xray
cannot find the site it is possible that it has been switched
off. Please go to the Hand History Configuration and switch
it on. For example at Party Poker it can be found as below.

In order for a Hand History folder to be created one full
hand on a real money table must have been played. Once one
full hand has been played then please restart CardXray and
it should find the poker site. If it still does not find it
then you can manually enter the site by completing a scan
or adding a new site on the start up screen.
Q: How do
I use CardXray with my poker site?
Card Xray is very easy to start up. Just choose the poker
site you wish to play on and (if necessary) the screen name you wish to use
from the start up box> Press OK and you're away. Choose any or all of
the windows you wish to use out of the menu box. Use your
mouse to drag each window around the screen in order to position
then wherever you want. CardXray will start after one or two complete
hands have been played.
Q: My poker site takes
up the whole screen so there is no room to view Card Xray?
The easiest thing to check is
the your windows screen resolution. In the Windows Control Panel, select the "Display" option and check the "Settings" tab to see if you can increase your screen resolution. That will solve your problem.
Alternatively, check the options on your Poker Site to see if you can make the tables smaller.
Q: Why do I sometimes get a redline across
the advisor?
This means the table is short handed, i.e. less than six players.
The advisors are designed for tables with more than six players.
However it will continue to give advise but the redline is
a warning that the table is short handed and your strategy
should change accordingly. Although the advisor may still
be a good guide it should not be relied upon, especially by
the time you are played heads up (one on one). Then factors
such as playing styles and chip counts become even more important.
Ace 8 off suit would not necessarily be a good hand in standard
play but is a strong hand in heads up. Same can be applied
to low pairs.

Q:
Why does the calculator show 6 outs for a pair after the flop?
The calculator will look for the outs on the pocket cards
rather than the community cards. Any pair in the community
cards creates a pair for all players so it does not give you
any advantage. An example of this is, pocket cards A Q, flop
2 9 7 . There are three unaccounted Aces and three Queens.
This therefore makes six possible outs to pair one of the
pocket cards.
Q: Should
I always follow the advice given on the advisor?
Although the advisors are good starting points they cannot
guarantee you winning. Poker by its very nature is a game
which involves gambling and on most hands there is a chance
someone can beat you. By following the advisor you should
reduce the number of times your will be beaten and increase
the number of pots you win as you will have good starting
standards. But you need to take into account playing styles
of your opponents, the number of chips everyone has and the
pot odds for that hand.
